You can eat both of those. As long as there's no raw fish. And a cold sandwich isn't bad its just a precaution. But I'll be eating cereal. I have gd and cereal makes my sugars go through the roof

I love the raw fish (sashimi)!!  Especially salmon!  My doc said no deli meats unless completely cooked.

Makes me sad you being told you can't eat deli meat. You can. The chances of Listeria are so rare and can happen on any food, not simply deli meat. Packaged meat (including subway ) is "precooked" for sterilization beforehand, so it's redundant to cook it.

On the topic! It's not a food but, oh, I miss my casual drinks at dinner and out with friends. Whiskey yummmmmm.
