So I have been having heart burn lately and sometimes it intensifies while other times it's mild. My mom told me that if I am always having heart burn it means that the baby will have a nice head of hair when hes born.

So I decided to conduct a survey with almost everyone I have known whose had kids and to my surprise this myth held true for almost all of them.  

What do you think, moms? Is this true for you as well?

I had hart burn with my first and 3rd, they were boys. My second no hart burn and was a girl. All 3 times my belly was supper itchy. All 3 of my babies were supper hairy when they were born. My daughter the most hairy, it was not only on her head but her face and back, yup I called her my little monky and she looked like one.
Ive never heard this saying before though hart burn usually is connected to having a boy. And itchy belly to hairy baby. Maybe its all in our minds eye.

It was true for me and in the what to expect when you're expecting book it says science has prove there is SOME truth something about the hormone that causes hair puts off something that also causes heartburn

Not true, though I had heart birn and mine had a full head of hair, my sister in law had heart burn and no hair

Its different for me, I eat grapefruit every day, so I haven't had any heartburn what so ever. I learned this trick with my 2nd pregnancy. You I doubt this baby will be bald, but im so glad that I have not had any heartburn.

I'm am 21 week's with #4 and I rarely get heart burn (so far). With my last 3 pregnancies I had heart burn terribly from 4 months on. They all came out with some hear, but definatly not a lot. These wives tales are funny to me. How can a baby who is head down with its feet in your stomach/rib cage area be causing heart burn from the hair on their head? Lol

I don't know how true it actually is, but my first I had it pre bad and yup she had a decent head of hair lol. And im the same as you this time round, sometimes it's bad and other times not.. So will be interesting

I've only had heartburn for one day in one pregnancy and have been pregnant 4x(still baking #4). All my babies had a massive amount of hair.

I suffered bad with it all 3 babies and this one worst of all my first 3 were almost bald lol :)

Idk. with my other sons I had a lot of heart burn and they both came out with a lot of hair on there hair. I am 27 weeks today and I have awful heart burn with this one too.

I had zero heartburn with my first and she was born with a ton of hair. A ton! I'm currently 22 weeks with my second and had really bad heartburn during the first trimester, rarely get it now so we will see.
