overreacting?

My husband works at pizza hut they close at 12 on weekends and he works every single week plus most of the week my problem is he doesn't get home till 3am or later!  Im so sick of it what place schedules you off at close then makes you stay till 3 hours later?!? I'm always home by myself with all 5 kids I dont get 2 seconds ever to just breath and this pregnancy is kicking my butt because of thyroid issues he doesnt help when he's here and he sleeps almost the whole day then when I get mad about the weird hours he just blows me off and says im overreacting. Im sorry for the b@$!hy rant but omg Im freakin human and im tired of feeling like a single mom when he's supposed to be there:(

I understand the frustration I take care of the kids even when he's home I feel he gets to do what he wants and I'm tied down if I go to work they stay with family weather he's home or not because he could get called in but still he may sit all day doing nothing around the house and I have to do everything on the days I have off and have the kids!

I actually worked at a pizza hut for 4yrs, and ended my time there as a General Restaurant Manager. 3hrs is achy excessive if you ask me but it all really depends on the store and how they close down. As it gets later you get less orders and so your able to start clean up around 9pm. All food prep for the next day is usually done early in the day, as all things are frozen and basically put in oiled pans to defrost. But that's on cali, not sure where your from. Anywho my point is that a minimum of 3people close a restaurant moat nights 4 if they keep the cook all night, everyone is assigned duties so things get done faster and you get off sooner. Think about it, what company wants to pay employees over time to mop?!? Closing should never take more then an hr unless it was a super busy day, and over 300 tickets or more can make a busy day. Less then 150 means it was mostly slow. I don't know if all this made sense lol, I'm sorry I kinda just went on a rant. Maybe ask if theres anything he can do to maybe start clean up early, so they can get out a bit earlier. Even if he can't help it, he can still try to get up a bit earlier and spend time with you and the kids. Good luck sweetie :)

I used to work in a restaurant and you never know at what time you're really to get out (especially on weekends). I hated when I had to close, it's horrible and you're always tired.

You should keep in mind that he's working to support you and the kids. I understand it's frustrating for you, but I'm sure he is just as annoyed. Stay positive! :-)

Closing down any restaurant takes a couple hours. You have two choices. Stay frustrated and question his every move or tell him you love him, to have a good day and kiss him good bye and kiss him when he comes home. I'm sure all those kids can make it hard but this is the life you both chose and its up to you to make it worth it for you first and then all them around you. Good luck.

Closing shouldnt take that long but from experience last minute customers can delay them from closing on time and not taking account to distance he has to drive home. Yeah u might be over reacting lol

Sorry you're going through that hun. I used to work for Dominos years ago. We closed at 12 and didn't get out of there until 3 or 4 due to all of the clean up and prep that had to be done. I would imagine it's the same for Pizza Hut. I know it *****!
