I take both iron supplement and pregnancy vitamin now as my last blood test showed my iron has dropped heaps. I'm 34+5 :)
Lack of iron could also cause you to bleed to death during birth. They're both important but prenatals have iron in them too.
Colase is the still softer recommend if needed. If you have to choose between iron and folate and you see not anemic. Then pick folate over iron in the first trimester. Lack of folate causes spinal cross defects in the child. (neural tube defects)
Lack of iron if your anemic will make you feel tired and worn out.
Im 30 weeks and I take both now
I get mine from Walmart, they're in a white bottle with a half red half white pill on it. Lol the bottle just says stool softener on it.
Stool softner is it a tablet? May I know thr name of the tablet? Thanks
Your baby need folic acid and since prenatals have both iron and folic acid I would say take the prenatals. If your problem is constipation then I'd just add a stool softener to your daily pill cocktail:) I take all 3..
