packing for the hospital.

How many weeks along should you be to pack your hospital bag and diaper bag? I'm 27 weeks exact today! Also what should I pack in the bag?

I don't take a diaper bag to the hospital. I usually pack that when I'm home from the hospital before baby's first doctors appointment. The hospital bag I pack around 37 weeks. I pack:

Clothes to come home in
Clothes for baby to come home in
Blanket for baby
Toiletries for myself(shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, etc. )
Camera/charger

These are the basics, but they also have lists you can Google. Most hospitals provide diapers, wipes, pads, breast pads and nipple cream, but you can call your local hospital and find out if yours does. Some supply toiletries as well

It's personal preference. I'm gonna pack mine when I'm gonna be 34 weeks, but some wait till later. For baby,  all you really need is a careseat in the car and clothes/blankets if it's cold. The hospital should provide diaper and wipes,  although I'll be taking my own. For your bag,  you'll need some comfy clothes that you don't mind getting dirty,  possibly stained. I'm gonna pack my own pillow, blankets, my camera, a robe, slippers, my own underwear,  cell phone charger,  money for snacks,  deodorant,  shampoo,  tooth brush/toothpaste,  chapstick... basically just things that will make you feel comfortable while you're at the hospital.
