padsicles?

Has anyone used them before? The frozen pads with witch hazel, and aloe vera? I'm thinking about making some, but was wondering if it feels uncomfortable with all the gunk on it.

I've stayed calendula on them and that seems to help heal faster and with inflammation, I found witch hazel irritated an already painful area

The blood and clots is enough nasty for me. Washing it off was a bit uncomfortable with my first, adding dried aloe vera just sounds more paimful to clean off. I will definitely try them with just witch hazel though.

I just drenched large maxi pads with witch hazel, put them in a Ziploc and froze them. They felt amazing... I'll be making these again except I bought witch hazel without alcohol and it also has aloe Vera. These pads are a postpartum must!

I'd think you'll probably have more than enough blood coming out not to worry about the small amount of gunk on a pad? Most people have a fair bit of bleeding for a few days, with some good sized clots... I can't even imagine noticing what's sitting on a pad, as long as I've got something cold and numbing, I'm good! Totally trying witch hazel pads this time though, I've only ever used ice packs (made from condoms half filled with frozen water). Might try both though as I imagine the ice packs stay cold for longer...

Anything cold made it feel better lol. The swelling made it about impossible to sit to go to the bathroom. I used a spray on my pads that really helped cool the area and heal. Must have.
