pamper myself before c section?? opinions

so i have a c section scheduled in less then a week. i really wana do something nice for myself and get my nails done. but idk why I'm hesitant..opinions ladies

If you can go for it. The weekend before my c-section I went and got a mani and pedi, eyebrows and all. I didn't have acrylic but I did have gel polish and there wasn't a problem.  It felt good after baby got here to have those things done. Needless to say,  my baby will be 4 weeks old on Monday and I haven't been to the salon since she's been here,  go for it!

Depends on the hospital. Mine said no nails or polish too. Check with your hospital

I jad my Csection. 7 weeks ago and they told me before no manicures.. Im in florida so maybe different by state.

Yea, I don't think having jail polish or acrylics would affect any kind of surgery..  I think it a fine.  Besides they monitor the mother with other gizmos not just on the finger..

I have also been under the impression that you cannot do any surgery with fingernail polish. Definitely ask your hospital first. Can't have the acrylic nails because of the oxygen Meyer and can't have polish so that the color of your nail bed can be visually monitored in the event of complications.

No check with your hospital first about finger nails because mine doesn't allow it because of the finger monitor. Some do some don't jus wouldn't want ya to pay for it and then have to take it off.

There aren't any restrictions, u can get ur nails and hair done right before ur c section.  It's fine.  Ask ur dr, but I'm sure he/she will say it's fine..

Go for it!!  Once baby is out ur not going to be able to do much for urself cuz ur going to be recovering and taking care of baby.  Do it while u have time and energy!!
