I went in yesterday at 1:30 to my doc appt. They told me my appt was cancled! I was kinda mad i didnt cancle it. The nurse looked in the computer it said i had delivered that morning. When i didnt! Wish i would have tho! Then they take me and hubby back to a room. The doctor comes in and right off bat starts saying well lets check the baby and talk about inducing u cause ur 41weeks! I looked at her and said what? Im not 41 weeks im 38weeks 2days. She said hold on looked in the computer again and asked my name and date of birth. She said wow there is another girl here with the same name same 11/5 but diff year of birth. They switch are charts and stuff some how. I so wanted to be like nope im her induce but i no the baby needs more time! Just find it crazy they mixed up are info!  Have any of ur docs got u mixed up with another persons info before?

With my first pregnancy the doctor constantly got my chart wrong! Apparently they did a chart on me with my maiden name (because all my sisters had the same doctor for their pregnancies) first. Then when i filled out paper work with my married name on it they made another chart....so every appointment theu would pull a different chart.....they were trying to double run test because one chart would have it under my maiden name instead of my married name.....talk about a mess with the insurance company....finally at the 25week mark i lost it (hormones full swing and the nurse walked in and was trying to run test that are normally ran at 12wks) ...there is no call for a doctor to not know who tjeir patient is....if you are seeing so many you cant keep them straight you need to cut back on your patient rotation!

For this reason i switch to a midwife!

That only happened once before I was pregnant. I was going for a pap. They had me pee in a cup then when I went into the room the nurse asked me questions about my "pregnancy".  I was like huh? And then told her I wasn't pregnant.  Then she was like "oh, well then I didn't need you to pee in a cup".  She was like "so what are you here for' and when I said pap she said i'd have to reschedule.  I was like BULL. Lol

Doctors are sooo busy.  I hate being another number.  I called a midwife as soon as I got pregnant. So, I'm having a homebirth with a midwife.

My drs office had a big mix up! I switched half way through at 19 weeks started with a new dr. I was in the waiting room they called my name got up and no one else moved. Peed in a cup and walked into the room. In behind me comes the dr and two nurses and started asking me if I read all the information provided on the IUD and if I didnt have any questions they will start. I was like um, did you not notice my belly (third baby I got big quick)...I am pregnant! They sent me back to the waiting room and got the correct person. Then when I was called back again. The other nurse that I was with previous yelled down the hallway...she's positive! I turned and got embarrassed positive for what?!? And who shouts patient info down the hall? My nurse stared in confusion and then was explained to the mix up. And then was told oh well she already peed in a cup and we did a pregnancy test. She is pregnant. Well thank you for that update....idiot. the baby is already kicking and moving like crazy, had an ultrasound and come on my belly looks like im 30 weeks.....
