I watch both teen mom and 16 and pregnant....I think the it defines real life how its hard and things don't always work out and have a happy little family like some young women may think.....I mean its hard as an adult but your more mature and learn more responsibility makes more sense to wait but sometimes things happen and its gods plan then ....but a big pat on the back to the young mothers who took care of their children to the best of their ability....

I love that show and so does my fiancé haha I like teen mom better than 16 and pregnant because I can't keep up with all the girls. I get teary when they deliver the babies too. It's just such a miracle. And it always seems like that's the only peaceful time in these poor girls lives. I guess in alot of ways the show doesn't really portray the reality of beig a teen mom. Most of the ones that were the original teen moms are now rolling in money and they're pseudo-celebrities. The first episodes of all the girls lives are pretty realistic I think tho. It looks pretty damn hard. I had my son at 24 and it was hard. I can't imagine being 16. And almost all the dads are such losers, I feel so bad for the girls. It just goes to show how easy it is for men to walk away from their children and how women are usually the ones transforming their whole lives for them.

I was 17 in 2005 when i had my first and there are very few of those girls who seem to actually struggle in the later seasons, uh and some of their parents I just want to slap! I do like to see when they choose to finish school and continue to college.

I like the show and watch it all the time and my 9 year old daughter watches it with me sometimes when she does I point out all of the hard times the girls face and the fact that the dad very seldomly sticks around. I also let her know that I had my first baby at 20 and I still feel like that was too early. I sit and talk with her about how if she wants her children to have the finer things in life she needs to wait to have any until she is done with college is married and has a career. I think children are more influenced by the interaction they have with their parents than a TV show that does not glamorize teen pregnancy at all. I watched it last night and they had a homeless couple on there and in the half hour it was on they had more struggles than I have my whole life. I think its more how we approach the subject with our kids mine know you have a baby before your old enough to care for it on your own properly I won't be picking up the slack for them.

I always cry when they are about to push the baby when they pull the baby out I just all out ball lmao I think it has a lot to do with the beauty and their whole family acts like it is so bad to take your life down a different path when you can still do so much just at a different time!!! I know I kinda feel weird being an adult my husband makes fun of me all the time for watching it

I was 16 and pregnant in 1999...had my baby, graduated high school and college and am now a teacher. The show also upsets me because the girls act like its cool, or their life is over, and so many other choices I don't think are right. Just my opinion though. I know many like it and I am glad they opted to keep the baby rather get an abortion I just don't agree with everything that goes on. (I am sure if my life were a show though people wouldn't agree with everything that goes on in it).

No disrespect to you momma!! Obviously if the show makes you mad it shows you are a good mom that takes care of you baby and does what needs to be done. So props to you .

I think its wrong that we even promote being that young and having babies. I understand it happens so I respect the mommies that grow up and take care of what needs to be done! But I feel like this show is telling these kids its OK to be 15 16 and get knocked up like its cool you'll be on TV!! So wrong I'm pretty old school though I feel women take care of the men n house stuff lol so we all have different feelings on stuff

I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only adult that watches that show. I also get emotional seeing them. I can't imagine how hard it is for them, but it makes me happy that they didn't get an abortion.
