it definitely could be an allergic reaction, OR it could still just be irritated.. it's really hard to say.
how long has it been since you had the yeast infection??
I've been having yeast off n on since I've been pregant .... just got over the recent one like a day ago I thought...
It's probably just still tender from the infection. Did you remember to treat your partner too? Always a good idea so he can't reinfect you.
one day isn't long enough at all.. a yeast infection takes a toll on the vagina.
my fiancé & I had to stop having sex for a while due to my constant yeast infections & BV (bacterial vaginosis) ... I wasn't doing anything to KEEP getting them, my body was just prone to them.. go figure, me & my hormones.
I've tried a prescribed pill (fluconazole) which worked the best - it's one pill you take (I chewed, I can't swallow pills) & it worked miracles for me.. I've had to use a gel/cream that I had to insert in my vagina every night for over a week.. man, I've been through it!!! lol
the one thing I suggest is DO NOT HAVE SEX for a while!! it may be hard, but trust me.. that continuous irritation to your vagina is even worse. we tried a few days after my treatments and mine would burn, hurt, swell up, etc. it's not worth it.. just let your body heal first. good luck! ((:
Petroleum jelly can cause a yeast infection as well. Always use water base lubricants.
Never use vasilne down there it can cause a lot of different infections. KY only
The yeast may not have been completely gone. I remember once years ago when I was still with my 9 year old sons father I had a yeast infection, thought it was gone and had sex. Omg. It was like my vagina was on FIRE! And the next day the yeast was back full force. I would wait at least three or four days after you think it's cured before having sex again
Thank u guys yalll are so helpful thank god for this website..
Petroleum jelly is the absolute worst thing to use as a sexual lubricant. Its really hard to was off well because its oil based & it can seal in the bacteria and yeast and cause more infections or make them worse. They can even cause UTIs and bladder/kidney infection because the bacteria can get pushed into your urethra & because the petroleum doesn't get flushed out when you pee, it can travel up into your upper urinary tract. Talk to your doctor & be sure to let them know you used petroleum jelly instead of actual sexual lubricant.
