Should I ditch the belly button ring now? I assume it won't be able to stay in when I'm farther along.

I'm 41 weeks pregnant and my belly button ring is still in, not stretched, no problems, I won't be taking it out until delivery day...only because the Dr recommended it in case of an emergency c section. I think it just depends on how big you are and how you carry the weight of your baby.

I took mine out at 12 weeks, but I have noticed the hole has stretched and looks like an oval. Im just wondering how it's going to look after I give birth.

You can go to the piercing place and get a pregnancy belly ring. Its plastic, longer, and flexible. That's what I have been using and I'm 7months.

I took mine out about a year and a half ago...even Though my belly button hasn't popped out, the piercing hole no longer exists, its super stretched right there, in fact the only place I have a tiny stretch mark. 38wks+3days. But I'd enjoy it until it gets bad if you like it :-)

I kept mine in for most of my last pregnancy and my belly button never turned out, but I didn't quite catch it in time when it started to stretch a little too much. I have an extremely small stretch mark type scar that isn't really noticeable. I could have been a lot worse if I hadn't had caught it then. I'd suggest taking out once you really start showing & then slide it in everyday to make sure it doesn't grow over.

That's up to you... I have a scar from a piercing that I had done 10 years ago, the scar use to sit right where the belly button piercing was, it's now about 2cm higher than my belly button.

If you want to keep the belly ring, I'd leave it in til you get bigger. Depending on your shape and size and how you carry, your belly button may never actually pop out. Mine never did.

I didn't have a belly ring but had my nipple pierced with my first. I had to take them out very early because they hurt
