placental abruption

I am 10 weeks and started bleeding 2 days ago. I went in for an ultrasound to find out a section oh the placenta has become unattached. Doctor seems to think there is nothing to do but wait and see what happens. I go back the 30th. Anyone have experience with this?

It took me 2 weeks to stop bleeding/spotting. My Dr didn't advice anything because its "common" but I would rest as much as I could, and when bleeding no sex at all! By my 10 week ultrasound the tear was already healed.

I would advise you to put your self on bed rest or as much as you can for a few weeks to see if that helps. All you can do is wait because you are still early, if you were later in pregnancy they would be considering c section. Hopefully you can make it at least till you are past 25 weeks that way your baby would have a chance of survival.....

It is called a subchorionic hemorrhage! Its a tear in the placenta! I had it early in my pregnancy and I'm 27 weeks, 28 on Sunday!

Why dont you meet another doctor and take second opinion instead waiting calmly. Its the matter of your baby.

Being so early on, I'd say waiting is all you can do. Maybe all if there is anything you can do to help, need rest, laying tilted etc.... Good luck hun.

I had a placental abruption they'd to rush me to c section - if I'd been left one more hour both me and baby would have died.

I didn't bleed it all stayed in my body.

Are you sure its a placental abruption?
Baby looses oxygen and needs to be out if it is- otherwise lack of oxygen etc... well you know what happens.
