please help!!

I'm breastfeeding my son and for about the past 24 hrs my left breast has not been producing much milk at all. I've noticed my breast has been smaller after long periods so I pumped to see and within a four hour period I will pump about 1 ounce. I don't just strictly have him on my breast. I pump as well. And store. My left breast has always produced less but now I feel as if I'm losing my milk supply. He's only 5 wks old and I do NOT want to stop breastfeeding. What can I do? Or is there anything I can do?? Please help!!

Ur milk can stop producing by itself from many things. Dont stress about it thoufh it makes it worse. Before you pump your supposed to massage five minutes and a little during to help drain it all. If it sits there because it was emptied all the way it stops. Babies pull from all glands n yes stay hydrated. Never tried teas but mine quit at four months because of stress and everything

Breast pumps are not an accurate way to measure supply. Babies are much more efficient at getting milk out than a pump. Keep feeding naturally. It's totally normal for one breast to produce more than the other and doesn't means you are losing your supply at all. For me my right was the lazy breast but it caused no issues and I bf my first dd for 2 years. Just keep baby on that breast as much as possible.

Also like nikk14 above said fenugreek. There is mother's milk that helps your supply. I took those and blessed Thistle at one point. Make sure you're drinking at least 60oz of water a day also!

Lots of water keep hydrated! Also oatmeal the real stuff not instant, my friend swore by Fenugreek it's an herb that's supposed to help increase supply.

Just keep trying to feed, pump and stimulate that breast. It probably just needs a little more attention but your body won't stop producing unless you let it
