possible gestational diabetes

My one hour glucose test was a little high, so my doctor is doing further testing to see if it is stress of disabilities. Which of course is stressing me more. Any tips or advice?

I had GD with my first child. I was devastated when I found out. Started bawling at work. Honestly though, after I saw a nutritionist and changed my eating habits I was able to control it with diet alone. It's very scary at first but everything turned out just fine. My son was almost 10 lbs when he was born because of the GD and the fact that my husband was that large at birth. But, my son was born happy and healthy with no issues. My blood sugar went back to normal after as well. Hopefully your 3hr test will be fine but if you do end up having GD you and your baby will be ok. Just listen to the doctors.

I failed the 1 hr test also i guess it cant be over140 and mine was 141 so i did the 3 hr test and everything was ok

I failed my 1hour GD test and went back for the 3hr test which wss a nightmare. That time tbe test came out good normal:) so don't loose hope just yet:)

I failed the 1 hour at 137 I think it was and so I had to do the three hour and it wasn't too bad. I passed. There were three other girls doing it the same time as I was so I think its pretty common

Try not to stress... I failed the 1 hour but passed the 3 hour. My doc told me that it is very common to fail the 1st test
