Just watch the salt and fluid in take. I have heard dehydration can aggravate blood pressure. So be sure you are not letting yourself get low. No help from retail therapy?! You really are tense! ;) The only other thing I will suggest: forget about the clot. (Not like 100% follow dr orders) Focus on the joy of this time. No more online research, no nothing. Hope it comes down soon.
I am breastfeeding. I've tried various relaxation techniques with no go yet. Even tried retail therapy today. Hopefully will end soon. Noticing I am craving nothing but lean meats and veggies which is a good thing. Makes diet easier.
Mine was 152/93. Are you breast feeding? A lot of studies show that the body produces feel good hormones during breast feeding that can help keep it down. Also, let daddy or grandma take the baby and go sit in a shower. Have you tried progressive relaxation? Where you start at the head or feet and imagine all tension leaving that part of you before you go to the next area. It works even better in the shower. I decided to put myself on the same diet as someone who has actual chronic high blood pressure. Idk if it was what made a difference. Hope this helps.
I've been researching and wondering if it has something to do with anxiety. Which I know my hormones are crazy right now and see the issues with that, and noticed I start getting headaches when I get stressed or overwhelmed, or overtired. How high was yours shastas? Mine before the c section was almost always within a few points of 116/86 and is now 148/93. They're concerned but not enough to do anything about it right now. I'm sure stress with the healing process, new baby, and the possible blood clot in my leg isn't helping matters. Noticed a lot of my normal destressers aren't working as well. Trying to figure out a way to destress.
My blood pressure suddenly took a leap after my third. They monitored me & I cut out certain foods. After about 3 weeks it just went back to normal. Even the dr couldn't find a reason for it all.
