piercing

I've had my labret pierced for two years. I'm now 33 weeks pregnant. And my lip ring will not come out... and I have an infection. What do I do?

Yikes! That is too bad. If it's infected it is probably swollen and this might not work, but I had a scheduled mri a few yrs ago and had to remove all my medal piercings before having it done. I could not get my nose stud or labret out because they had been in for so long, so I took big nail clippers to themand they broke off that way. If your infection is causing too much swelling to be able to use nail clippers I would go to the er and get it removed that way. They have proper tools to be able to remove them safely for you.

All piercings stink. Even your ears. You just have to maintain them. Clean them everyday. Soak the jewlery in some peroxide. And clean off the pierced area. This will help tremendously! I used to work at a tattoo/piercing shop. So I'm pretty familiar with stuff like that. Soap & water works but there's also a ton of other things online you can purchase & use like sea salt spray, ect.

You can go to any tattoo/piercing shop and they can remove it for you. I had a Madison, which is a chest surface piercing, and I could not get it out or anyone else that tried. So I went & had a professional piercer take it out. And it was free of charge too!

If your piercing stinks ours most likely infected. You should have someone look at it!

Go in to the doctor to have it removed.  The last thing you want is an infection lasting too long ...it's not good for baby.  Feel better:-)
