low amniotic fluid please help

I am 40 weeks and 3 days. Two days ago I did a non stress test and was told I have low amniotic fluid. But the heartbeat and everything else was good.  So the doctor send me home. She said its up to me I can wait till she comes out on her own or be induced on Sunday.  I am 3 cm dialated and 100 percent effaced. Yesterday I had very bad contractions but they gone away in the morning. Please help I don't know what to do. Should I let myself to be induced on Sunday or wait till she comes out on her own?

Let your body.do its.own thing i walked, did squats and had sex up until I was "induced" I went from a fingertip to 2cm dilated in 3.days without me taking anything to induce my labor.and when.I was admitted.to the hospital they put cervidil and.in 12 hours of contractions I went.from 2.to 4cm and an hour later I was at 5cm they started.pitocin but.before.the pitocin did anything I was ready to push I did get an epidural at 8cm but my labor was amazing all I needed.was a.boost and.it.happened.with  cervidil my body did.it naturally only 6 hours of labor with 2 of pushing, I had a wonderful induction honestly it's not bad for everyone but id definitely get induced since life amniotic fluid are dangerous

Hi momma, I would be induced dont want to take the risk of something going wrong. I had a friend who got send home several times and was leaking amniotic fluid,  and they didn't know. Her baby girl almost had none by the time they induced her if thry would hsve waited any long would have put baby life at risk. They had test the amniotic fluid and it tested negative. So I wouldn't risk it. Goid luck momma♡ best wishes ♡

For my second child I had low  amniotic fluid so I would get an ultrasound every three days until one day I went for one and the doctor decided I had to have my baby that very same day. If it was a big concern for your doc she would take greater precaution. I think you should walk as much as you can, make love since your already dialating the sperm has something that helps the uterus dialate. Also natural ginger tea helps get labor started. Try your best to help your body go into labor. I hear induction is no fun. Good luck and God bless.

I agree with mummaainoz me personally I would get induced for fear of losing baby. But this was my 1st baby and I had a c section yesterday. But during the whole last trimester I was so scared of my baby being still born

I would go the induction. At the end of the day all you want is a happy healthy bub and I wouldn't take any risks but thats just my opinion after two high risk pregnancies, I'm really neurotic and don't take any chances.

Im of the same beliefs as drained1sttimemom on this one for my personal birth plan, but it is honestly up to you. If you feel uneasy about the low fluid and wish to go through the induction process feeling it is best for you and baby, then go for it. If you feel that you want to wait until LO is ready on her own, then that's fine as well. If it was of great concern to the doctor, then they likely would have just scheduled you for the induction.

My personal preference is to not be induced. Induction is a horrible experience for most women. It causes such strong contractions that your muscles naturally tighten up and resist the descent of the baby. Plus its harder to practice relaxation techniques. Some women just take longer to "ripen" for birth. Pitocin is only one hormone in the labor game. If you get too much of that hormone and not enough of the other hormones, it's a very unbalanced labor. Modern medicine thinks all women are on this specific clock of when they are supposed to go into labor and when they are supposed to deliver after the onset of labor. I personally hope my labor is a bit slow so my pelvis, ligaments, muscles, and skin have time to adjust to the changes.

If it were me... I would schedule the induction.  I have my non stress test scheduled for Wednesday and if they give me the option...  I'm done! Good luck... no matter what you choose.
