pregnancy with asthma

I'm 13+1 and have had asthma since I was a kid. This weekend I got a cold and can feel my asthma acting up. I have continued my maintenance meds through the pregnancy per doctors orders. Just wondering how other moms delt with asthma?

Had a wicked cold recently. It made it so bad I couldn't walk 10 steps without running out of breath. I visited my doctor and she doubled my asthma medication. I would see your doctor.

ive had asthma since I was a child also. my asthma is only controlled when I take Symbicort. when I don't take it everyday then I feel my symptoms getting worse. my asthma has always been bad. im still taking all my asthma medications threw doctors orders. if your asthma symptoms are really bad Id suggest calling ur asthma specialist to make a apt. its important to try to keep ur asthma under control during pregnancy

The only time i have ever had attacks was when i was pregnant... both times at the beginning of both pregnancies.   I have an inhaler to carry now but I still only have to use it in an emergency.

It hasnt been as big of a problem for ne as I expected it to be! My doctors also urged me to stay on my maint meds so thats helped huge. The only tine it acted up was in the spring when I got seasonal allergies and even then the inhaler did its job. Dont stress it will be ok, Im 3 days overdue and I made it with bad asthma, so u can too (:
