pregnant with my second child

Hi I am 26 and I am pregnant with my second child and I was told I'm only 9 weeks! My obgyn doesn't do ultrasounds until 18-20 weeks but I feel and look a lot bigger than 9 weeks! Should I say something about my concerns to my obgyn? They ate going by my last menstrual cycle and it was a shorter period than normal and it was lighter then normal too! Also I am wondering since I am a little on the bigger side if there's a chance of having twins, my father has three sets of twin siblings so that kinda makes me a little nervous although twins would be a blessing like every other child is! If any ok be had any feed back i would love to hear it!!!! Thanks!

Well like I said my period in October wasn't really a period it was like very little spotting for two days maybe three! But the period I had before that was September 10th and if that's the case I'd be 14-15 weeks but I could be wrong! I guess we shall find out whenever I get my first ultrasound! Thanks! And congrats on the twins!

Good luck! Remeber, the flutters you feel maybe a number of thing. It is true you can feel movement sooner with your second. But I'm having twins and still not feeling a thing. The way I determine is when I feel a flutter, I give it a couple min, if I don't (sorry) fart then maybe its the kids lol. Still a funny feeling because you hoping to feel em move about. I do wish you the best of luck, keep us posted. If you don't mind my asking, how far along do you think you are and when was your last period? Mine was sept 29 so I'm suppose to be 11w 5d but ultra sound said I was 12w1d. Periods can be off.

Thanks! I started showing at what would have been 6 weeks if they are correct but I have my doubts with how far along I am!  I also have been feeling fluttering multiple times a day and with my first pregnancy I d if my feel that till around 16 weeks or so!  I will remember the er thing if my doc doesn't listen to my concerns! I go back to see them on December 27th! Wish me luck!

I'm 11w 3d with twins and I'm showing a bit. So it is possible. If your doctor won't do ultra sound till that late in pregnancy they will normally pic up the babes heartbeat with a doppler. If there's more than one they can pic up two. Another thing you can do, if go to the ER and say that you are having cramps (even if you're not) and want to be seen, they will run a vag. Ultra sound because of the cramping. The ultrasound tech. Will let you look and they will tell you if there is on or two. Hope this helps
