U want to go to the dentist more while pregnant cuz ur hormones r changeing and u can get what they call "pregnancy gingivitis" its a gum disease. U want to take very good care of ur gums cuz if not it can effect ur heart and body and also u can have preterm birth.

I took them everyday for almost a year whilst we were ttc...and ive taken them everyday of my pregnancy (im 36 weeks). I had bad sickness for the first 14 weeks and knew i wasnt getting enough nutrients. They recommend you take folic acid for first 12 weeks, but theres lots of research about omega 3&6 oils & iodine in your diet. I figure its doing no harm so why not?

I took them every day the 1st and 2nd trimesters and in the 3rd I ended up taking them every other day or every 3 days and ended up being low on iron and having to start taking iron supplements as well as prenatals and I also take a stool softener since all of the iron makes you even more constipated than you already already are with pregnancy. So basically I only went a few weeks this whole pregnancy where I was still taking the prenatals just not every day and for me it ended up causing me to take extra vitamins. This won't happen to everyone though I've fought with iron deficiency since I was and child. I eat healthy and iron rich foods I just don't store it properly.  My iron levels are now normal and I feel pretty good at 37 weeks.

I take them because the vitamins help with the baby's development and she absorbs what she needs from your body like taking calcium from your teeth and bones.. so you need the vitamins as much as baby does.

I was told to start taking them before I got pregnant because I was trying to get pregnant and to keep taking them through pregnancy and even after.  Honestly, I like prenatal better than the regular multivitamin.

Taking them at night really helped with the nausea. I started taking them in the morning when I first got pregnant, however they made me super sick, I'd loose my breakfast every time. So I started taking them at night, I'm not sure why but it made a huge difference. I kept them by my bed and would take them as soon as I was down for the night. I am now 24+6 don't suffer from nausea any more, but still take vitamins nightly :)

I take them every night before bed. I really notice a difference in energy levels if I don't take them. I try to keep a balanced diet, but taking my vitamins ensures I am getting what both baby and I need.

Vitamins are maninly for you. My doctor once told me that a baby is like parasite, will take all the nutrients they need, its you who will need vitamins when that happens. Probably not best comparison but makes sense.

I haven't been taking them and I'm 11wks, I found out I was pregnant at 6wks. T took them for a few weeks and stopped because they made me super sick, like violently dry heaving and throwing up any time anything was in my stomach. I...plan on going back to taking them by not until my nausea subsides.

Before getting pregnant for the first time i was scared and hated to take vitamins, the big ones you can't chew. But i knew i had to now because my baby was depending on me to get her nutrients. I knew I didn't eat healthy enough either to skip them. I now use a vitamin box to remind me when i took them or if I haven't. Without this Id be lost. And when i dont take them because i forgot, the next day i don't feel as good as when i do take them.

Why not just take them ...theyre full of vitamins that are good for you and the baby. Vitamins you most likely dont get enough of from food alone. I took them even when I wasnt pregnant...mostly for my hair and nails haha

I took them during the prime time...but  since being in my third trimester, I take them as long as I remember...I'm not so hard on myself if I forget.
