Had the Anatomical scan today. Yay!!!

I am a ftm and always wished for a boy as my first, but today during the anatomical scan, I was told it's a girl. Yay! I felt disappointed and I couldn't hold back my tears of disappointment,  my husband was excited because she is healthy but me on the other hand was concerned that maybe he was just happy just to get me to be excited. I feel better now but I need to start thinking of ways to entertain my girl.

Ik how u feel i feel like i jinked my self me nd my hubby wanted a boyy so bad & it turned out to be a girl !! Ik he was alil disapointed bcuz everytime we get a ultrasound hell be like maybe his parts are hidein but he finnaly got convinced it was a lil girl . I really dont care nomore im soo glad my baby healthyy right now :) ilove her so much i ccant wait til shes here #32 weeks 4days

For sure, your baby girl will look so adorable in all her flowered headbands and tutu's lol
But yeah, i have 3 older brothers and all of them are much closer with their wifes family than us. Im the only one who stays close to our parents and my mom always tells me she doesnt know what she'd do without me. :) makes me cry a bit.

@Farah: you are so right! I see that attribute with my brother, he just does his own thing and all he cares about is his wife and family, while me as a lady also thinks of my parents, want to know how the are faring and all that and same with my sisters as well, so that is one attribute that settles my disappointment about having a girl. I was just looking at cute stuffs for girls and also imagining my girl in them...lol..cute huh?

I understand where you'Re coming from. Surprisingly im carrying a boy but brfore I knew i wanted a boy so badly that I thought it wouldve never happened. I was actually mentally preparing for a girl. You know what? Think about all the cute things you can buy for her. And also, i feel like girls stay close to their mothers when they get older and married. Boys usually go their own way with their wife. I know all thats a long time from now but just think about how you and her will bond later on :)

Thanks all, at first when you don't get what you want it can be devastating but I will always say to myself nobody is the creator of children,  just do your best with what you have. My daughter will be loved and I hope my love for her will not make her will not make my husband jealous.

I always wanted a girl. Once I got my first ultrasound everybody convinced me that it was a boy due to a Lil bump under the fetus leg lol. I had even went out buying boy things and got excited about sports and being a football mom. Then the doc told me it was a girl I was so disappointed. But I've gotten over it. Little girls are what keeps the world alive. Enjoy your blessing (:

I feel you!

I'm 7w3d along and want a boy so badly! I'll have a blood test done some time between week 9 and 10 to know my baby's gender.  I think I will be disappointed too if it's a girl.

But just keep in mind she is healthy, that's what matters now :)
