Home Birth

Hi ladies, are any of you ladies considering a home birth or have experienced one with your previous bubs. I'm a first time Mum & Im allergic to alot of the pain relief that is on offer so there is not much benefit for me to have the baby in the hospital & I really want/have to have a natural birth. In the UK we get 2 midwives for support & we can hire birthing pools. I'm a 10 minute drive to the hospital.  Would love to hear your experience. Thanks...

I wanted a home birth, but we rent a basement suite :P

My friend had one and loved it. She craved pizza and so she ate it moments after she delivered. A freedom you don't quite have in the hospital Haha.

I have not delivered at home but I did deliver my last at a birthing center. It was like a home birth..no pain relief...you deliver anyway you want....I did a water birth it was great. The water helps with the pain. I would really have liked to do it at home but my husband would have had a fit...he kept screaming I needed to call an ambulance to take me to my midwife. On his defense we were an hour from a good hospital and if something would have happened ee would have not made it.
