help???

40w5d my water broke over 29 hours ago. I went to my midwife and she said contractions should start within 24 hours they started 3 hours ago. I'm having them about every 6 minutes for a minute. I only got 4 hours of sleep last night before I woke up because of the pain. Do you think if I lay down andnl try to sleep it will stop my contractions? I'm so tired but afraid to lay down and it stop my labor what do you guys think I should do?

Your midwife will make sure you are ok.  I have always been very happy with my midwifes. If she says your safe than you probably are and if you think she should look at you then insist she see you. You can labor at birthing center if they are 6 go ahead and say they are 5 it is only a minute off and close enough to be a mistake once you are already in there being checked.  Good luck try to get in the birthing center to be checked.

You can't just go on into the birthing center? Some cases even the birth I g center have sent their patients on to the hospital. You have been with your water broke for a really long time, the only option might be to have another c-section if baby doesn't get here pretty quick.
I'm worried for you. Hope you have a happy healthy delivery.

You need to get to the hospital. You are at risk for an infection. You water shouldn't be broken for over 24hrs without being monitered.

I agree I want va vbac terribly but given the state of things you need to go get looked out. Better safe than sorry :-( im sorry I hope things go well for you maybe once you get to the hospital they will do the vbac bc your water broke ect. But I wouldn't risk something bad happening.

Hospital. You Have the amniotic sac for a reason. If You don't deliver soon which it sounds like you are barely in labor, you and baby can get an infection,  your placenta can separate from your uterine wall,  and that can be fatal to you both. I understand you want a vaginal delivery but don't risk your life.

That is why I didnt choose a midwife....there not doctors and it seems like they dont take things seriously. Ive had a few friends that had really bad experiences with midwives. I would go to the hospital.

Go to he hospital! I'm surprised because I thought that once your water breaks they want you to deliver within 24 hours. Good luck and please update when you can.

She told me not to call until I have them every 5 minutes lasting a minute for an hour :( I don't know what to do the hospital won't let me do a vbac in the state I live in so my only choice is the birthing center.

If its true labor nothing should stop it but you really shouldn't have your water open for over 24 hours as it can lead to dry birth and infection for you and baby... I'd call your midwife again or maybe go to ldrp
