False labor???

So I'm almost 38weeks and woke up Tuesday at 3am with strong contractions  every 3mins and this lasted all night so went into labor and delivery was there all day having contractions, they were showing up on the monitors the midwife kept checking me... No dilation, nothing. At 8pm last night they sent me home and nothing since... Has anyone experienced anything like this, if so how did it turn out for you..  Thanks !

Wow that's crazy I didn't realize that could bring on contractions. I was a little dehydrated and low in my sodium... I guess we have to wait and see

I had the same at 29 wks...contractions every 3 minfor 8 hrs. Turned out i had the beginnings of a bladder infection that was so early that could not be picked up by the quick test they did. Contractions picked up by monitor and i was not dilated. They stopped by themself and i was sent home. Phoned the next day with results that showed infection. Hope you are in the beginning of labour though..the last thing you need is a uti
