Yes its hard to stop smoking.but you should think of you're child.i use too smoke weed three to four times daily.but once i found out i was pregnant i knew she was worth more then a blunt. The baby didn't choose to be hear, so do ur best to STOP . Have a cig after the baby is born if u cnt stop. Nine months will go by quickly. Its mind over matter

1. quitting can be  detrimental because the baby is used to the nicotine.  So slowing then quitting is best.  However, you are early enough to do what feels best in your body. It's actually worse to quit and go back over and over again.
2. Pregnancy is all about you, tell your hubby if he doesn't want to quit,  then smoke outside and not around you.
3. Don't beat yourself up.  30 years ago or parents smoked and drank with us haha.  Although it's not ideal,  try to take a couple breaths and relax this is supposed to be a happy time.

I know a few women, like me, who have quit cold turkey n it hasn't affected baby at all. Its gonna go thru withdrawal anyway when its born if you smoke when pregnant right?i think its much healthier n easier all round to just stop but that's just my opinion.when I tried to cut down when I wasn't pregnant it just made it harder 4 me,especially if I was around smokers as it always made me tempted to smoke too

I smoked through both my pregnancies. I cut down significantly though. I only smoke about 6 a day. Ob told me it wasn't advisable to quit since the stress could affect the baby. He said just to cut down.

I was a smoker when I found out I was pregnant with my first n stopped cold turkey there n then. I had tried everything to give up prior to that with no success. For me cutting down wouldve just made it harder

I was told the same thing. Cut back not quit cold turkey because the stress it pits on you and baby plus the withdraw. I went to the e ciggettes and I love mine. It's the nicotine but nothing else there are different strengths to cut down to nothing. Maybe you can look into them? Good luck and don't ever let someone judge you. We have all been there :)

I was a smoker and was told to cut back until i could stop completley. I finally did because i noticed when i wpuld have a cig she wouldn't move as much and that gave me the rest of my modivation to quit. It was extremely hard good luck and prayers coming your way momma...

ObS usually don't want u to quit cold turkey b/c ur baby will go through withdrawal too. They want u tobquit by cutting back but say u dont have to completely quit.  Is it what is ideal for baby...yes but lets be honest to any of us do everything by the book? Lol! I smoked the whole time I was pregnant with my daughter cut back a lot but still smoked. She was perfectly healthy and was a normal healthy birthweight. This pregnancy I had planned to be fully quit by 20 weeks but I just couldnt and it made me so upset so I did a scared straight program on myself and read on smoking and pregnancy and smoking and breast feeding. Now dont get me wrong when I am around friends that smoke I have one but when I think about buying a pack I revert back to those articles.  Lol. This decision is up to u and ur ob. If u WANT to quit u will and there are quit lines u can call for free help. U can also talk to me on here. Been there done that. :-)

I am a smoker.  I was also told by my dr.  That I didn't have to quit,  just to cut down if possible.  I have tried to quit pregnant and not pregnant.  Just doesn't work for me. However,  look into v2 cigs.  They are an alternative to smoking.  You still get the nicotine fix without any other chemicals.  My dr was very pleased,  ob and primary, when I explained I was in the process of switching to them.  Plus they are cheaper than real cigs. Good luck!
