I'm 16wks and my SO was not having me go through this pregnancy smoking. So I set a date....smoked a couple less cigarettes then the day before all the way up until that date. I substituted the cigarettes with hard candy. It's been pretty easy. Smoking is a mind thing. If you tell yourself you're not gonna do it don't let yourself give in. My SO smokes but not around me...When I'm having a stressful day I'll take a couple puffs off his and come back inside. It's alot easier than I thought it would be. You have to have self control! :) good luck.

Cinnamon helps curve the cravings... chew cinnamon gum or even cinnamon sticks.... other than that just keep something to go in your mouth. Besides the nicotine addiction it is more of an oral fixation and it helps to have suckers that you can take out and put back in your mouth it simulates the motion of smoking. Congratulations on your baby and making such a sacrifice for your unborn child's health! :-) hang in there!

This is a very hard habit to quit! I stopped right away with my first pregnancy but with this one it's a little more difficult. I did the whole vapor thing and I tried to quit that but it took that making me sick to finally put it down, this was at like 3 mths. I still struggle some days more than others but it can be done. Hang in there and be strong.

Quitting no matter how stressful for you will not stress baby. It's way too early for that. I had to quit as well and it's just plain hard but it must be done. Candy and mints helped me as well as changing habits when I smoked most. Just keep picturing your baby with a cigarette in his/her mouth : ). Hang in there and best of luck to you x

I quit when I found out I was pregnant. I used step 2 patches for abut a week to help with the transition. Hope that helps you!
