ultrasound dating

So I'm about 5 weeks 3 days pregnant ..did an ultrasound today to make sure the pregnancy is viable and its not ectopic ..ultrasound showed a gestation sac in the uterus of less than five weeks !
What do u think ...is it a bad sign that the pregnancy is not doing well or what !!!
And  am sure about my last period so is it that accurate or what do u think?

Ultra sounds are not an exact science, and you can ovulate later than yes norm and that early in a pregnancy it can be hard to find your wee one and do accurate measurements. So the are a lot of reasons the dates can be a little off.

Don't worry I thought I was 10 weeks and ultrasound date put me at 8 weeks so I lost 2 weeks. My period was irregular so I jus conceived later than I thought. Now I'm 36+1 nd expecting a baby girl soon:) good luck hun

Don't worry to much just yet what the u/s says. Good thing it's not in the tubes. Baby's grow at different rates and dating can be off a week or two. I have also seen people to have two sacs, nothing in one and beating heartbeat in other then week or so later 2 heartbeats ( just a example of growth)
