The past few days i have been having really bad acid reflux. When i burp i get this really nasty taste in my mouth and the smell is just as bad. My next appt with my dr is the 10th. Wondering if any one knows any safe medicine to take @ 31 weeks & 2days

I had it so bad that it was making me sick. I stopped eating cheese and like a miracle it has gone now. I dont know if u eat cheese but if u do try to cut it out ur diet it worked for me. U can also take peptac its like gaviscon here in the uk. Glass of cold milk helps too. Good luck

Almond milk worked for me. Regular didn't help me and I didn't like regular milk anyway.

Natural remidies I've heard of are drinking apple cider vinegar, a tsp of baking soda in a bottle of water, drinking a whole lemon squeezed into water. For me I've always had acid reflex, so sometimes if none of this worked for me id just have to suffer. Drink 3 to 4 bottles of water at night. Chug those suckers and you'll burp up water less acid. Feels better then the burn ya get when the acid icomes up

I've had the same prob believe it or not chewing gum helps. They say eating smaller meals more often helps but hasn't worked for me they also say lots of liquids help to. As far as meds go the doc told me when I had it bad that it was ok to take tums that was the preg before this one. I hope ot helps.
