rodent poop

I'm cleaning out my travel trailer to get it ready for winter and noticed rodent poop in the drawers and on my bed. I've taken it all out and washed them... i just wonder is it safe for me to be around mouse poop? I'm 10 weeks Pregnant and don't want to be camping in there with that around. I will be setting up traps.

Just wear gloves and a mask that goes over your nose and mouth. When your finished throw your clothes in the trash or in the wash. Then take a shower.

Depending on where you are-hantavirus is an issue. Rodent poop isn't safe for any kind of person unless you have the proper biocides and cleaning techniques.  If it's not sprayed with biocide first,  the virus can become airborne and it is respiratory.

Stop cleaning. Get someone else to do it after you know that the rodents are out. The reason we're told not to clean the cat box is the same reason we shouldn't be around mouse droppings. Outdoor cats eat rodents and carry the parasites that cause toxoplasmosis.
