running out of time!

I really want to go into labor naturally, but I will be 40 weeks tomorrow and the doc has me scheduled for a c section, my third. I did a lot of research and really want to just try and vbac, if it doesn't work it doesn't work, but I'm running out of time. I want to see if shell let me go one more week on my own and if I don't have her by next Monday, I think I will agree to let them take her. As long as her and I are safe. Thoughts?

Thank you for sharing that story. That is crazy! And amazing :) I let the Dr. take her today after not dilating or dropping by 40 weeks. A part of me just wanted to get it over with already. Surgery was awful but she is safe and healthy and that's all that matters I guess. Miss Allie Christine was 8lbs. 1 oz and 20 inches long ;)

My cousin had this same experience and she has 3 sets of twins. They wanted to do another c-section because that's what they had been doing from the beginning. But she didn't want another c-section with her last set of twins because she wanted to do it vaginally. The doctors were so adamant and kept insisting c-section but she refused. She ended up waiting to the very last minute at home and went into labour at home. She had her 1st twin, while sitting on the toilet and the by then her husband had called the ambulance and she pushed out the 2nd one at the hospital. The doctors called it a miracle and blessing because they didn't think it was possible but trust me if you want to do it vaginally, I say stick to it and don't rush it. Your body is powerful and the baby will do its job and start making its way out, when it's time. So, I'm praying with you and I know that you can do what the doctor's don't want you to do. Have faith in your body and in your baby and let God take care of the rest! :)
