rythmic contractions at 33 weeks

At work, I have contractions about 10 to 15 minutes apart.  I am a housekeeper at a hospital.  I called my clinic and they told me to rest.  I cant, I have to work. 33 weeks so far and also they want me to exercise because of gestational diabetes. Which brings on contractions. 7 contractions in 1 hour is too many. Has anyone else experienced this and what did your doctor say?

I believe they are braxton hicks, but I wonder what I am doing to cause so many. Non stress today at the hospital.  But they only happen when I am active, not laying down.

SSounds like braxtonhicks contractions. I'm 36 weeks and get 4-6 an hour some nights. As long as there manageable I wouldn't worry too much about it.

The clinic nurse didnt seem too be excited because I wasnt bleeding or leaking anything. They have slowed down at home now, but when I get up to move or walk i have them. Drink water and rest is all they told me. I am worried that working is going to send me into preterm labor.

When I was 28 weeks I started getting contractions at work. 3-4 min apart for 2 hours. I sat down for 20 min and they didn't stop. I went into L&D and they kept me over night and gave me medication to stop the contractions. If you're having more then 4 an hour you have to go in!.
Good luck!
