weight gain

I am 22 weeks and just gained weight for the first time...3 lbs in 2 weeks. Getting a little worried since my doc only wants me to gain a total of 10 to 15 lbs my whole pregnancy. I haven't really eaten all that unhealthy but can't stop eating pineapple and other sugary fruit.

I stared out a bit overweight.  In the beginning my doctor told me he wanted me to gain no more than 20 pounds.   I'm 27 weeks and have gained 27 pounds (blah!)  But my doctor is not concerned

I'm 31 weeks and a day. I started my pregnancy really petite and have put on about 40lbs. I was concerned that I'm gaining to much but my doctor told me I was ok as long as I've been eating healthy and maintaining some level of physical activity

I started out overweight and my doctor said to eat when your hungry and to be healthy as weight can always be lost after the baby. You are growing a human and your body is going to gain what it needs, I wouldn't stress about it just know your being as healthy as possible for your baby is what counts. I'm now in week 33 about and gained 20lbs which is above what it's recommended for me but I know I've been healthy and tried my best :)

Thanks. I get tons of physical exercise because I am a waitress but just worried that if I can gain 3 lbs in 2 weeks what that is gonna be like in the long run lol.

I think 3 pounds up is really good at 22 weeks! Especially since you're in a growth spurt right now. At 22 weeks I was up about 8 pounds and I'm 25 pounds overweight to start with. Just make sure you're getting some type if physical activity. Otherwise, keep up the good work!
