second hand shopping for baby?

So ive never been a person of second hand shopping but with money being tight anything is a option for us right now. Have you moms found good deals? Im not worried about clothes but more of the bigger stuff, like a crib, bassinet, walker, ect. What do you moms think or suggest

Once upon a child is great, but thrift stores can be wonderful very nice onseies for .99 etc I bought all 0-3 month from thrift store entire wardrobe about $40! Much cheaper than once upon a child even and you just buy the nice quality stuff sane as you'd be getting else where sometimes I find clothes with brand new with tags on a thrift store! :-)

I have been buying second hand items too and I would suggest to check the model # to make sure there are no safety recalls. Other than that I think its a great way to save money.

I agree with the other ladies...once upon a child is great...I've bought a swing brand new for 20$ and outfits for 5$ plus I sell my 5 year olds out grown clothes and use it towards my newborns items or pocket the cash... It's great

There is a store called once upon a child..all second hand stuff but in very good condition.  You should see if you have one around you. If not ask friends and family if they would be willing to part with some baby items. I was weird at first but the  I saw how much money I was saving and they grow out of everything so quickly! Garage sales and yard sales have tons of items too

Have you tried Craigs List?  If you do buy things that have safety regulations,  make sure you know what they are - for example,  spacing of crib bars.
