seizures and what meds

So I have seizures and the seizure medicine I am on can harm my baby but I can't be without it because it can harm the baby what should I do.

Im also epileptic but ive been very well controlled havent had an episode in almost 2 years. Ive been on carbatrol since 15 im now 27. And I used to take topamax up until my first pregnancy which was @ 23 years old. My neurologist said topamax was too dangerous. So with my first pregnancy i did have a seizure at like 4 weeks and I still kept on taking my medicine (carbatrol) afterwards.  All came out fine with baby. Hes now 4 yrs old and now on my second pregnancy at 29 weeks and the baby is very healthy as well. We cant stop medicating ourselves its worse to actually have a seizure but it all depends on your doctors opinion. Hope my info helped a little bit. You'll be fine just stay positive :)

What are you on? I take a med called lamotrigine I have epilepsy and this is what we switched to I'm doing good with it I'm 8 week's today and baby is doing well!! You should see if that's something you could take!
