If I'm constipated I will get bad cramping before finally going. You can ask you Dr but sounds normal.

I think it's normal or at least not dangerous.
I've had this with both my pregnancies. I also get severe cramps, I have been nearly in tears many times. I also get severe gas beforehand, I can even hear it going through my intestines plain as day, sounds like I'm passing gas loudly and it's so embarrassing.
I've never had IBS or anything like that, being pregnant just throws me all out of whack.

Does it feel like contractions to you? I've had this problem before pregnancy.. It feels like a ton of pressure and extreme pain.. I think it's ibs but I'm not sure.. Try eating more fiber ever since I've been eating fiber I haven't had this problem..
