My question is are you extra fertile after having a child ? I had my son in may and we haven't had sex . I know there is protection and what not but last time i got pregnant on BC. I want another child but not this quick . Should i just warch for my ovulation day?

Thanks ladies. And i had switched BC so thats why it failed. I already went thru that with my doctor. But thanks, I think imma wait till five months before we do. I was on BC for five yrs prior and worked great but its because i switchec BC

Yes extra fertile for sure. It took us 5 years to have our daughter this year on January 3rd and we got pregnant the one time we had sex after I was clear. I am do with a boy January 21st of next year. So they will be about a year and 2 weeks apart.

What birth control were u using when u got pregnant?  U see most birth control will prevent pregnancy but if one didn't work for u then switch to another. Usually it what I call operator error. Meaning it's something we did that caused it nit to work correctly. Like if u skipped a day or took it a few hours later then what ur supposed to when that makes it not cover u for a few days until ur back on rotation (which ull be unprotected for a few weeks) or if u took any type of antibiotics or medicine that weakens the birth control then it won't work till the following month if u stopped taking the medicine that month. U have to use other protection like condoms for the remainder of the month plus the month after. To make sure ur covered. Now if ur just going to keep track of ur ovulation dates without birth control that is one of the least methods recommended. Ull probably end up pregnant again. Because we really don't know when we ovulate and some months it changes. I would do the birth control and watching ur ovulation dates as a back up. I have used the IUD most of my adult life and the only 3 pregnancies I've had are planned. When I get off it.

Try a different kind of birth control like the IUD. I had it between my kids and loved it there were very few side effects (besides a lighter period) and I didn't have to do or remember anything. When I decided I was ready for another I just had my doc remove it and got pregnant right away.

Yea i got pregnant with my son now while on BC. I already started my period regularly too

The answer is yes u are extra fertilize if u don't want another one soon u should start birth control or him use a condon bcuz there is a very high facility to get pregnant again without protection with my first I didn't have sex until the baby was 3 months old and started birth control and with this one I had when she just turn a month old but I won't have sex for maybe another month I am too scare i could get an infection I didn't really think about that because we both wanted but yea .
