Back labor???

I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow and a ftm and I've had random pains off and on which I think have been contractions but today I've been having a dull pain in my back off and on. ...it doesn't last for long and feels uncomfortable like I think if I change positions it'll go away but it doesn't. .. Could this be back labor?  I dunno since I've never felt it before I go to the dr Monday and last week I wasn't dilated but I was 70% effaced

I didn't feel even ONE contraction in my front. The whole time it was lower back pains. I was young and didn't know I could flip the baby by doing different positions.  It got so bad, the only way I can explain it is if a car was coming out of your back. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. My baby ended up in such a bad situation,  I ended up having an emergency c-sec. Not trying to scare you, just sharing my experience.  Hope it will be better for you.

My "back labor" was not evident until I was eek into contractions, 5 or 6cm, and was excruciating. So honestly no, I don't think so.

My labor with my first started in my back. Start timing them and once they get closer call your doctor.  Good luck sounds like you have the baby soon.

Maybe call your L&D.  The nurses dont want you coming in if you arent advanced far enough yet so they won't push you to come in.  And they are great about being patient and answering your questions.  Good luck :-)
