sex and baby

My husband doesn't want to have sex because he doesn't want to hit the baby. He days he doesn't understand how the doctor can reach up and feel the babies head and when we have sex he thinks he's touching the baby. I'm a bit confused too and don't know how to explain it. I just keep saying it's different because they're touching in the cervix.

Some men come up with excuses because they lose interest in sex when y'all(men and.women) are pregnant. It's pretty.normal. But sex during.pregnancy is good because it helps prepare you for delivery. I'm very sexually active now than first trimester. Im 37weeks.

I'm having the same problem. Before pregnancy my husband and I were very sexually active, but now he says that doesn't matter how much he reads and people tell him that it is fine to have sex, he says he just doesn't feel confortable. He says he feels like he is hitting the baby. He says he doesn't want to have sex till after the baby is born :/
Honestly I gave up trying.

Also not sure if u have already, but remind him its his last chance to have sex until he has to wait the 40 days of your recovery.

Maybe you can ask your doctor to explain it to you and him. I wonder the same thing. But I'm sure if it wasn't safe your doctor would say no sex.

The doctor's fingers are (likely) smaller than his penis so they won't fit through the opening of the cervix. Not to mention, the average size of a penis is 5.5 inches and the vagina, when aroused, is an average of 7-8 inches. Even if he did touch the baby, if he is used to touching clear back to your cervix, it won't feel any different. Or you can tell him, if he is really worried about it, to not go so deep. Sex is great to get the cervix to dilate, so I wouldn't avoid it simply because of that.

They cant actually feel babys head until right before delivery when your really dilated. They are just feeling the cervix. Im 39 weeks with no problems with sex. Maybe he just isnt comfortable with it
