When you have an orgasm, your body releases a wave of a hormone called oxytocin, also known as the "love hormone". It's the same one that gives you butterflies in your stomach when you've got a crush on someone and is exactly why orgasms feel so good.
The synthetic form of oxytocin is... drumroll please... pitocin. Which we're all familiar with. So it only makes sense that flooding your body with the real thing can give you some contractions - not always enough to get things going for real, but often a step in the right direction.

Does it work for ? Labor? I would think u having one would help contractions. The only thing the SO does to help is the sperm softens cervix.
