shopping for your own mat clothes

Hello lovely ladies!
So im am wondering how you go about biying your maternity clothes. Im 12w and my usual pants are getting a bit snug aroind the waste. Im so early still and have plenty to grow..i dont want to buy a whole bunch of maternity clothes, but if i buy pants now, then ill need to buy more in a few weeks to re adjust to my stomach. Was is the most economical way to do this? Legging type of pants?! I need tips!! Thank you!! :)

I ended up buying truckers suspenders to keep my pants up walking around at work all day. They go under my shirt and are easy to un clip for all the bathroom runs. I sewed tube socks over them to keep them rubbing on my under arm skin thatvis sensitive. Used hairties and bellybands over my regular jeans till about 14 weeks then had to switch to maternity pants.

I second the bit about the belly bands that go over your pants and rubber bands or hair ties, very helpful. I bought some maternity pants in my size and they fit when i tried them on (im 20 weeks now and my jeans won't button without a ton of discomfort) but when I wore them to work the next day they fell down all day long lol. Definitely wear a belly band over maternity pants til you are big enough to keep them up yourself.

I like the full belly pants, add a belly band over the top to keep them up until you get bigger. Also use a hair tie in the loop to extend your pants and put a belly band over the top to keep other from seeing. Target, walmart, old navy, and motherhood carry belly bands as well as the pants. This is my fourth and doing those things has saved me a lot of money on maternity clothes.

In my opinion the mat clothes at Walmart run a size big at least.  I'm usually a small/ xs preprego and even in my last weeks everything at Walmart was at least a size too big.  Do u have a Ross near u?  That's where I got almost all of my clothes and everything at ross is super cheap!

Yes it is attached but u can buy a belly band to wear with your normal pants too! You just leave your pants unbuttoned or unzipped and this band goes over the top of them and over your belly. There are a lot of maternity clothes but to avoid over spending i bought some at walmart.com...super cheap!

This belly band..are they attached to the pants or do yoi buy seperately? Im assuming attached..so these types of pants are meant to grow with you? This clothing is complicated!!

I have 2 pairs of jeans with the belly band, 2 pairs of leggings with a belly band, and a pair of shirts with the band. Walmart has cheaper jeans and I like them better than the more expensive ones. I wear them all the time!

I have a few  pants that r kinda like yoga pants but more durable if that makes sense. There is a waste that goes over your entire belly or you can choose to fold it down. I just ordered and received jeans and dress pants online. They are the demi style so only go up to your belly button instead of covering the entire belly. Im only 16 weeks so these r perfect for me now and im hoping i still like them the more i grow.
