Appendectomy at 25 weeks

I am laying in the hospital right now in labor and delivery freaking out. They are more than likely going to have to remove my appendix which carries a big risk of pre term labor. Have any of you mommies ever had appendicitis while pregnant or know someone who has? I don't know what I would do if I lost my sweet baby boy. He was a miraculous conception and my first and most likely my only so that makes this even worse.

They decided to go through with the surgery at 6am this morning. They really tried to avoid doing it because of the risks but they said the risk of pregnancy loss was greater if it wasn't done. Me and the baby are recovering well. His heart rate is strong. Besides the pain everything is looking good. I've had my mom here with me. Thank you for your prayers and support. That really meant a lot to me. Although I've never met any of you ladies, you have all proven to be more caring and sweet than most people I know.

Oh wow. I just read this. I hope things are going ok for you guys. I don't know about your procedure but wanted to say hi and at least let you know I am out here and that someone is thinking of you.
Is anyone with you? I'm heading to bed now but I'll pray for wisdom for your doctors and a safe and restful recovery for you and your precious little one.
