I'll be going back after 6 weeks or so, but only part time. I wish J didn'5 have to, but we need my income.

Taking some time to bond and recover and get to know your baby is very important. I personally believe that a month at home is the absolute minimum that a new mother should spend with her baby before resuming other activities. I had to go back to work when my first was six weeks old and it was really hard for me but I didn't have a choice in the matter and it worked out okay. I continued to breastfeed, spent as much time with him as possible, but I was helping to provide for the family as well because my income was vital. I know I will go back to work after this baby as well but am planning to take more time - at least two months and maybe three - before returning to work.

Its okay not to work. I work from home hut I'm definitely taking off. Just depends on how much your have a savings and how long can you live off of it.
