It's not about encouraging her to smoke ...it's about letting her know she's not alone in her struggle for wanting to stop or cut back..everybody doesn't have that same mind frame it takes others longer than some#ijs like i said, earlier good lucky hun

I don't know why everyone is trying to be so diplomatic and sweet and basically encouraging each other to smoke. Just because a few of you got lucky and your babies were fine doesn't make it any less of a risk. Of your 32 weeks preg and still haven't cut back I don't see how stopping now will reduce any problems. By the way I was an avid smoker too and I stopped cold turkey at 6 weeks and haven't touched one since.

I used an electronic cigarrette. I still have the last step to go before I'm completely nicotine free, but it's the only way I was able to quit. Haven't had a cigarette in nearly four months! Do your best. Baby will indeed go through withdrawals after delivery though.

I smoked with my first pregnancy and my little girl was fine. I did cut back alot Like maybe 3  day. I would just say just try and not smoke for as long as you can stand it then if you need one or two a day go for it. I would just cut back as much as you can. Good luck, I know its a hard thing to do!

I'm not trying to be rude but quitting is best for you and your baby's health. And you said please help so here is my recommendation, tell your doctor you want quit.  He/she can help you wean yyourself off the nicotine. They might be able to even direct you to local groups to help quitting. Our local hospital has weekly meetings for quitting and they're free! Good luck. I'm sure it'll be hard but totally worth it in the end :-)

Cutting back would be good for both of you. But my SIL smoked with both of her pregnancys, she ended up having big healthy 10 lb babies. Maybe if you cut back you can try saving the money you would normally spend on the extra cigarettes to save for something special for you or your baby. Set a daily/weekly goal to cut back a certain number per day/week. Good luck.

No one has the right to judge, sweetheart as long as your doctor is aware and hasn't said anything regarding your child's health then screw what everyone else has to say.
