smoking.

Hey ladies,  this is my first post.  I'm 32 with my first pregnancy at 6 1/2 weeks. I've been a smoker for 17 years when I found out I was pregnant I cut down but any suggestions on completing quitting?  Thanks...

Talk to your doctor first I was a smoker and my doctor told me not to quit smoking because it would do more harm to the baby but since your only 6 or so weeks you might be OK to quit

Just pure willpower i think. I was a smoker and stopped straight away i dont even crave anymore and i do feel a lot better for it although ive got to admit i have to watch what i eat as at first i think i ate to give me something to do lol. I googled what effects smoking has on a baby and that was enough to put me off straight away. Im not saying its not going to be hard especially if you have smokers around you but id also ask them to refrain from smoking anywhere near you. You can do it for yourself but especially for your little one who doesnt get a say. Good luck hun xx
