I was a smoker when I got pregnant I literally slept for like 4 days straight and when I started not sleeping as much and went around people that smoked it made me really sick puking at just the sight. The smell is bad the look is bad the taste is even worse. My suggestion try and sleep it off when you are down to the wire of quiting. Good luck!
P.s. my husband still smokes and I make him wash his hands face and brush his teeth before coming around me lol
My mother in law also quit smoking using hypnosis. (It didn't work for my bother in law though) I know several other people who have used e cigarettes to quit because they could control the nicotine and slowly decreased their dose until it was 0.
Try mixing a spon full of cream if tart and orange juice to fight cravings
I quit smoking through hypnosis. Two sessions and that was it! Cannot even stand to see them now. It was a complete re wiring of my mind just like magic. Try it you have nothing to lose.
I smoked also n drank alot but once I got pregnant I quit completely. I just could deal with the guilt if my baby came out with something wrong with him. Whether it caused it or not I would feel guilty. Have u tried changing to those vapor cigarette. I know they r not the same but u got to make sacrifices for the little one.
Every state has a free quot now they will send u the patch or whatever you need to quit with a coach who calls you daily!
1800quit (fl) now
I smoked off and on before my first pergnany, so when I got pregnant it wasn't hard to quit. Just the thought or smell of smoking made me sick, so that made it easy to stop. I haven't smoked since.
I'm 6 weeks and I've had to quit smoking as well. What works for me is out of sight (smell) out of mind! I've done research on it and they say when you're craving, it will last 5 mins. So during those 5mins go take a walk, eat a healthy snack (my choice of fat snack lol), etc. My SO smokes too but is trying to quit as well but he's not as successful. Hope this helps some. Good luck!
I personally don't smoke but I have asked, out of curiosity, how my aunt managaed to quit before and during pregnancy with each of her 6 kids. She was, and still is, a heavy smoker today and her kids are all grown up mature. But, she has told me her methods of quitting during pregnancy is just by tossing her packs and refraining from buying any more--as tempted and overwhelmed she was feeling. Basically saying the thought of wanting a puff of cigarette is all in your head.
I have a gf who now has lupus, was another heavy smoker, but quit due to her health and mostly her miscarriage after 2 months; that gave her lupus. When she decided she needed to quit, it was due to the fear of almost dying and pursue for a life-changing experience. To her, the mindset of smoking is also by choice, that it's all in your head.
