Last minute mind change about being induced

I'm over due so my dr, husband and I set a date to be induced on Friday. I felt good with the decision at first but, thinking about how smoothly my first delivery went without being induced, i'm starting to have second thoughts. My daughter was 11 days late,  which was hard, but I don't want to run unnecessary risks by inducing. Am I over reacting by wanting to change my mind 2 days before inducing? Success stories/opinions are greatly appreciated.

I am in the same boat. My doctor and I talked about inducing me this Sunday. The hospital hasn't called to schedule it. Hopefully when I go to my appointment tomorrow I can put it off a little longer. I really want my baby to come when she is ready.

I was supposed to be induced this past Thursday and I was terrified of it. .. doctor did a membrane sweep on Tuesday and my water broke Wednesday-- she was born 12.5 hours before I was supposed to be induced... I was having second thoughts about being induced and told my doctor that I was soo glad I didn't have to be induced

My second was induced.. 4 hr active labour, no pain relief needed, no intervention. Was a fantastic birth. Didnt hurt as much as my first!

No I think that's a good choice! Too many women don't realize what inducing can cause and lead too. I wouldn't go for an induction unless medically necessary

I held off too and I kinda regret waiting. Baby pooped and he went thru lot of stress to get cleaned up after. This time I'm not going past 40 weeks. Good luck to u and baby and being induced isnt that bad. I got the epidural tho so maybe that's why I didn't mind.

I've been 2cm for 5 weeks. I'm 80% effaced. But nothing is changing. That's why he suggested inducing. He's fine a few sweeps now.

I'm only 40+4 but haven't been progressing. He did a stretch and sweep with no results. Honestly, it might just be nerves.

No ur should do what ur comfortable with but just keep in mind going so far overdue carries risks as well such as placenta dying off n baby having 1st bowel movement that can end up in their lungs. I was induced with my first and id say I had a great experience but EVERY pregnancy and every woman is different. Idk how far overdue u are Im just saying dont try to push it too far has doc tried stripping ur membranes?
