How soon after giving birth do you want to start breastfeeding? Thanks for your comments ahead of time

I'm planning to breastfeed my little guy and I'm going to wait until he's all cleaned and been looked over and everything.
I'm guessing I'll need stitches, so I won't want to be holding him during that because I'm very sensitive to pain (felt the stitches with my first even after the nurse gave me the legal limit of anesthetic shots).
I'm hoping he'll be handed to his daddy before my stitches are done though so I can talk to the little guy and have a look at him.

I told my husband this time I don't want any visitors until I got the hang of it. With my first I tried but kept getting distracted and frustrated by visitors so I gave up!

With my son, I  tried to get him to latch on almost immediately after birth....After they had wipes him. I think it soothing for the baby after the experience of gog through the birth canal and all that. God bless!

With both of mine as soon as they were cleaned and given to me I started to feed them. They told me with my first I wanted to get started right away.

With all 3 of my girls the nurse cleaned them up after they came out and helped the baby latch on right away.
