Ok good to know! :)
Octobermommy~ sorry to hear about your colon disease that would really suck!
I think a lot of people say that because a lot of people assume spicy foods will cause an increase in bowel movements, diarrhea, etc. and that sometimes brings on labor if it's intensified.. but I'd definitely say no.
I have a colon disease.. and if what I eat hasn't brought on labor, I highly doubt it'll affect you lol - God bless you though.. I can't even eat pepperoni pizza without waking up at 5:00 a.m. with HORRIBLE heartburn!!!! lol
I love spicy foods and have eaten it my whole pregnancy and still haven't went into labor. I'm 38 weeks now.
Haha I'm eating some salsa and chips with melted cheese right now. :)
Fyi now I'm eating spicy bean and cheese dip with cheese lol. Sounded delicious!
Ok awesome! Thanks. :). I'll ask my doc at my next appt but I've never heard of anyone going into labor from eating spicy food, that's why I had to ask. :)
Yeah i ate food spicy enough to make me sweat and cry and never went into labor with any of my kids on number 3 now
Oh Ok crazy. So my friend is like half right.. Well That ***** lol cuz that's what I've been craving so maybe I should cut down a bit.
Nope. I hate hot sauce on literally everything my last pregnancy and I had to be induced because I was overdue. My friend ate everything spicy with her daughter and also had to be induced from being over due
They don't CAUSE labor but they can help.
No. "Spicy" foods will not send you into early labour. Remember lots of women in other countries have babies and their daily diet is what we might consider "spicy". If you feel sick, stop eating it. The most it can do is upset your stomach and/or cause you heart burn. I eat Indian curry and hot salsa all the time. :) yummy!!
