No all vaginal deliveries that's the only way group b strep can harm the baby anyway if not treated during labor

STOP READING ONLINE!! I had it with my son no biggie. When you get admitted to the hospital remind them you have GBS and you need an iv drip of antibiotics...you will be fine. My son is 4 now and great and i am on baby #2

Lol Google sometimes scares u but that is not a major problem of course if left untreated it will harm the baby during delivery. But they will just give u some antibiotics for it b4 delivery n u and baby will be fine. So relax.

Yes i did..they just told me that it gets treated in labor..they give you i.v with antibiotics so you don't pass it to the baby there's no effects on you but could hurt the baby if not treated during labor

I tested positive early in pregnancy. My midwives and doctors say they'll just treat me as positive throughout my pregnancy and give antibiotics on delivery day, three hours before baby comes. They won't retest to see if I'm still positive.. :/

Did you test positive? If so, what did your doctor say about it?
