starting to get a baby bump

I was at thanksgiving at my in laws. And everyone was saying that I was starting to gain weight.  I haven't gained that much. But it still hurt my feelings.  Has anyone had this problem?  2nd time mother. I'm 19 wks.

At Thanksgiving I was 32 wks and had gained 20 lbs but it is all belly. When I got out of the car my grandmother said "who's that fat lady?" I was really irritated. She made fat comments everytime I ate. I just ignored it.

I've actually lost weight (approxiamately 15 lbs) because of morning sickness, but I'm definitely showing. We're pregnant it happens. Don't let it hurt your feelings be proud of the miracle that you are growing inside you. :)

I have a good sense of humor .but to me it's annoying to have my friend tell me I'm getting big and my belly is so big when she's right there with me and she's 6 weeks less than I am

I must be the only one with a sense of humor cuz I get "preggosaurus", and "u look wide", and "everyday I see u, ur bigger n bigger", oh how about "preggo piglet", among other things.  I just take it in stride cuz I guess ppl know I don't get offended easily and can take those kinds of jokes.  I'm having fun with my pregnancy.  I even tease ppl who get weirded out by babies and ask them if they want to touch my belly cuz the baby is moving.  It's funny to see them squirm away and say no.  Soon enough baby will be here and we will forget all the things ppl used to say to us cuz our attention will be on our lil bundles and we will miss being pregnant.  So enjoy it.

I am very hapoy so far. Ive gained a total of 4lbs  7.5months pregnant its all belly. My jeans still fit but ive always had low self esteem.  It doesnt bother me when family notices. But when my friend who is also pregnant mentions that im supposedly big it bugs me.. not to mention shes smaller but is showing more. How does that make me big.

the comments can be hurtful even if their being "funny" but like others have said your pregnant,  your suppose to put on weight. if they said these things to you when your not id be more concerned. funny story my 4 year old niece told me i wasn't allowed a cookie while at my sister's the other day because "your tummy is too big already" she knows there's a baby in there but i dont think she realizes its all baby. i had a good laugh... and if it gets really gets to you just tell people how you feel.

You are pregnant you are meant to gain weight. Its healthy to.
They arent intentionally being cruel.
It may just be your hormones making you sensitive

I'm really proud of my bump this time. I'm 28w and gained 13 lbs, all baby. I got really fat with my first and just looked fat. And I was an over weight teen (even though I'm very healthy, I'm not thin, never have been and never will be) and my mom was always very quick to point out how she was never fat if she wasn't very pregnant.
But, I'm more upset now when some one will tell me I don't even look pregnant! I'm 7 months pregnant and it looks like I'm smuggling a bowling ball under my shirt.

They all have had kids. I just think they would be like "maybe that hurt her feelings" . They know I'm pregnant and have more hormones going through my body so I might be a little more emotional.  So something little might be a little more hurtful. ..

I have a friend that is the only person that says stuff like that too me.. everyone else says I'm tiny and she will be like " Damn your stomach is hecka bug" is really not.. what is weird is that she's about 6 weeks less than me and she started showing way before I did.. I was not showing at 23 weeks and she was showing at 16.. idk if she's just trying to be rude or what.. but it does bother nee coming from her

I get very upset when people say stuff like that. Hell my grandma was like you sure are getting a tummy! And I got so mad at her. I don't think people mean to be hurtful but damn it it hurts! I just told them if they say anything like that I will slap them..and it shut them up lol.

I gained 25# but it's all baby. I wouldn't take it personal. I feel like I am about to bust. I'm 35+2 my family teases me because my stomach hasn't ever been so big. Just laugh I tease about myself too because it's cute and fun experience.
